I am converting a freshwater tank to salt water with fish only to start but would like to add some soft corals eventually. Would this be suitable? I have a 20 gallon and a 30 gallon tank. Would it work?

thanks

Yes it would work to convert your existing hood/fixture to T5 HO Bulbs. But you should check to see if either a 24watt or 39watt T5 bulb will fit into your fixture first (length wise). I think you need at least 24inches for 24watt bulbs, and 36" for 39watt bulbs
