I run a fairly large amount of carbon 24/7.

I hear lots of pros, what are the cons of using carbon?

I have some ready to go in with a TLF reactor, but my system is so far fine without it. I don't run zeovit (because I don't know what it does yet )

The only bad thing I can think about running carbon in a tank might be if your tank likes dirtier water.

I have a 33g soft tank that will not let me run carbon on it, it I do try everything looks off, but with my 110g I run carbon 24/7 and the soft frags that are in there are taking off.

Just make sure it gets changed out sooner rather than later.

Okay I'll try it out and see how the corals respond. I don't have too many softies so it should be fine.

What kind of carbon do you find works the best, or just any active carbon will work?

Default carbon how much to use

have been user of chemipure for god knows how far back. came into possession of some bulk carbon from brad(untamed) and ian of chem master. question is i've always purposely underfiltrate (physically and chemically) my tank which has app. 200 gal total volume yea i was using 1 pack chemipure good for 40 gal and replacing this every 3 months. very interested to know how much of this carbon i should be using starting out, replacement frequency and whether i should be using it continuously 24/7 the way i am using chemilpure. mixed sps, lps, softy tank with some honking huge leathers on bottom. water change 25 gals biweekly.l

I don't have the articles off hand, but carbon actually loses much of its effectiveness after a few weeks.

Chemipure is not a carbon per se, but a mixture of various ion exchange resins. Seachem and several other companies make similar products. I've used it in the past in FW and it works but I really wish they would tone down their wild marketing claims.
