![]() Does your little guy have places to hide. I know Griffie loves his caves and tunnels. I also know Griffie is more nocturnal, and is pretty inactive during the day. When he came home I spent hours building tunnels and caves for my puffer.
Perhaps after lights out you might see the little fellow venture out more. He is so tiny perhaps he is a little overwhelmed with all the attention and activity. I know with the food Griff did not have much interest in prawns and such. He really LOVES the frozen pureed blend of seafood mix I mentioned before. I also noticed Griff did not have a huge interest in food for the first few days after coming home. He did eat, but until I started making his "puffer chow", he was not anything like his now. He ate my clownfish before he ate prawns. I don't know what medication you can give him. My LFS gave me orange gel caps for my sick Majestic angel. I never asked what they were since I was more concerned about making her better and getting instructions on dosing the meds. I hope we are all concerned about nothing and he just needs time to adapt. I have never seen such a little puffer before. I would imagine he is very overwhelmed with being caught, transported, going to the store and now a new tank. That is a lot for a little baby to absorb in a short period of time. I am hoping the bite might be from the LFS prior to him coming home. GIve him a little space to hide from everyone else at night time in case he is being picked on by the others. Was he in a tank with other puffers at the store? |

![]() I phoned them this morning and explained what had happened and they sad that they will not replace any fish. I bought lots of fish before that have died,I mean we all have. BUT, this fish was damaged when I got him. I think that they should replace the fish. They are going to lose 2 customers because of it, but Im sure this means nothing to them. thanks for listening to me vent.

I lost 6 Scissor Tail gobies over the past few weeks and I feel they were sick to begin with (because other fish in my tank never just die and the gobies are suppose to be tough) and I should be able to get a credit or something. But I will not even bother asking since I know it won't happen ![]() Like I said, great, great shop but I have never understood their policy or lack of one for fish that die within a few days. Many of the places I used to shop at in the US would just ask that you bring the fish in or take pics and sometimes a water sample. Then replace it or give you a credit. Seems easy enough but I guess they don't want to take the loss. |

![]() bah, sorry to hear this.
Only thing I can reccomend is possibly dividing the tank somehow when adding another puffer until the are comparable in size... Sorry again...
