![]() metal hose clamps also seem to be oiled which wouldn't be good in your tank. Never knew there were plastic ones though...i'll have to remember that.

![]() you can buy Stainless Steel hose clamps as well, i just cant remember where to get them, i think greenlee but could be wrong.

![]() Those stainless steel clamps usually have non-stainless screws for some reason. I bought a bunch thinking I was smart untill all the screws started to rust.

![]() Stainless is called 'stain LESS' because it stains(rusts) less than regular steel. Stainless will still rust, especially the grade used on hose clamps. I second the motion for zip ties or plastic hose clamps.

![]() underwater I only use zip ties and they hold tight . Dont use the metal hose clamps at all .
