What pump?

My eheim 1260 is really quiet - that is generally their reputation. Have you tried putting it on top of a mousepad?

Alternatively, I noticed that you can make it quieter with the front cover (the thing that's lighter coloured than the rest of the body) removed.

I do have it on a mouse pad. I will try removing the grey end cap.

I have Sedra pumps on my ASM skimmer and they are very quiet. They have very soft suction cup feet. I believe both J&L and OA carry them.

Thanks Tom had one on my old skimmer was a bit louder then the Eheim I have.
