![]() I use Philips 27W CF Daylight bulbs that I buy at Home Depot. If you look really hard on the back you can usually find where it says 6500K in very small writing...

![]() That 5500K spiral CF spotlight fuge bulb I got at RONA (very similar to the one in Mark's pic) does spit out some pretty good PAR. Here are the results I had with my PAR meter against the 2x39W Coralife PC fixture about my QT:
My 23W CF 5500K spotlight in the fuge (1 year old bulb): -124 above water 6" from bulb -54 just below surface -21 12" deep -8 20" deep My 2x39W PC fixture (10,000K[brand new] and actinic [ancient]) 12" above my QT: -42 at water's surface -15 at 6" deep -9 at 18" deep |
