I've had tiger tails (they divide once in a while) for several years. They do a great job keeping the sandbed clean. They always hiding under rockwork with there head extended and are constantly vacuuming the sandbed, ingesting it in one end and out the other. The annoying thing is that the sand tends to accumilate at the back of the tank and below rockwork. (I can see thae glass bottom at the front of the tank, the back is about 3 inches deep) Other than that I have never had any probems with them.

I've had the best results with black cucumbers. Always out back and forth dredging through the sand bed.

I have a few of them. If you sneak down at night you'll see them stretched across the sandbed 8"-10" long. Effective sand cleaners, but won't do a thing about algae. Nocturnal, so don't expect to actually see them very often.

I've lost track of how many various sea cuce's I have...maybe 8? The Donkey Dungs tend to be more visible.
