reef pest id
so i have this white tube/worm that has a mouth on the end of it in my tankand its bitting one of my zoa frags. i have never noticed it before but every time i try to get it it just sucks back into the rock. i think i saw black strips on it but not sure. anyone have an id??

It sounds like a peanut worm to me.

Has it got a face like this? Might it only be eating detrius in the zoos or do you see it munching on healthy flesh? |

thats it right there. well there are some dead zoo's on the frag i will have to watch it more tomorrow

Yeah, it's probably only eating the dead ones, I have never heard of them attacking live corals. If you're really worried you can move the frag but the rest of your CUC will probably eat any more dead ones.
It's funny the little aliens that live in our tanks... |

well instead of making a new thread i have been trying to get a photo of this bugger for a while. lives in a totally different rock and finally caught it pulling some flake food into the rock. i think it might be a bristle worm
