What products are we missing?

Great idea to seek some feedback from customers on this!

ESV B-Ionic

Higher quality T5 fixtures - either ATI Powermodule or Sfiligoi Mini Stealth (someone in Canada has to start regularly stocking a 24" 6 bulb T5 fixture eventually - you'd likely see a lot more customers starting up smaller, but high end tanks in smaller condos downtown if they could find something adequate and, um, not ugly like the Tek lights)

Premium Maxi-Jets (we've already spoken about this

)

Now that you're selling some fancy colored polyethylene tubing you might as well sell some quick connect/compression fittings such as John Guest fittings

free t shirts for purchases made over certain monetary increments....
maybe some sort of customer loyalty rewards program, you guys have so many loyal customers, some rewards would be sweet...

So the fact that they have the cheapest prices anywhere isn't reward enough

I beg to differ.
They have chepest prices on some stuff, but that all starts with the supplier and I could name a number of things that are sold at other LFS for cheaper although since this isn't what this thread was for, I won't.

all I can say is that shows a couple of people who don't do their due dilligence.

I don't feel I need anything from J&L. I'm thrilled to see them seeking customer feedback in an attempt to make the store even better - that's exceptional customer service when you're already on top.

It sounds like you are on thier side? I have no complaints with them at all. They are serving us, prices can always go lower.

If a business starts offering "free" stuff, the prices on everything in the store have to go up to pay for it
