I think the speed tested is pretty accurate, but for me, the customer support variable should factor in as well... hopefully you don't need to call, but when you do, I HATE getting the run around!

Was there any comparison done on that show? I can only speak to about my ISP and it's not that great... hit and miss depending on the tech on the call.

Shaw for customer service, but Telus may have a very slight edge in speed. I am with Shaw, and would never consider going back to Telus because of their crappy customer service. I also have Shaw phone and love it!

If you're looking for just internet, get a package with Shaw. The Xtreme-I is 10mbit, and when bundled with a basic VOIP phone you're looking at about $65/month.

When I used to have telus, I had a supposed 5mbit line. I could only download PER STREAM at 160k/sec, but get multiple streams going and I could get close... Not sure if they changed that now-a-days
