Sort of. They sometimes go up to eachother and look at one another, then swim away. My blueline pipefish's routine is to swim around a lot (somewhat quickly) then hide along the side and repeat. Whereas my dragon pipefish moves around fairly slowly, and pearches itself continuously on the cheato and LR.
