teevee, young people don't reach their physical peek at 20. If you look at sports, guys usually have their carreer seasons between 28 and 32. You have to look at everything not just physical maturity. It may be that a 20 year old is dumb enough to do exactly what a commander tells him, this may improve his ability to die readily but the good soldiers like John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Willem Dafoe and Tom Berenger were veterans.
