My favorite scene was when Joe was trying to put a screw into the wall using a drill set on reverse. He tried for 10 mins and finally passed the task on to his wife, he just couldn't figure it out. LOL

I think it has to be staged at least a little? I mean if you were asked to be on a show featuring bad handyman skills, wouldn't you want to prove people wrong??? When the host of the show gets on his knees to beg you to read the instructions on the box of some tile glue, wouldn't you want to show him up? I dunno, I laugh and laugh at the antics, I love the show, but at the same time, how can it really be real??

Many people have no handyman skills. A lot of them would not attempt basic things like cleaning the trap under the sink, installing a dimmer switch, hanging a curtain rod... and hire people to do everything.

We are in the middle of renovations and have decided to do everything ourselves. You cannot find labour in Calgary right now for less than $50 per hour, and then they send out a teenager to do the job who has no clue what he is doing. Nobody cares about your stuff as much as you do, so you are better off to learn how and do it yourself.
