I see what you mean about the bottom of the trim deflecting, good point. Well I may have to just put the brace in. I just want more room as a convenience while working on the tank. Cleaning 230 gallons of water up off the floor would be most inconvenient. LOL Probably not worth the risk. Thanks for your help, Stace |

![]() why not brace the ends and the middle with 8inch pieces ? would this not solve the problem all together ?

![]() Have you looked at Euro-Bracing? No way would I trust wood for the long term and I also would have trouble with a 24" center brace.

![]() Yes it's still a possibility but I have heard it's a pain in arse to clean. Aside from that I am having trouble finding any decent glass shops around me that can help. So far nobody stocks 1/2" and I would have to buy a full sheet and have it shipped here and then the glass shop can cut. That is going to be way too pricey.
