I'm running one on my tank. It seems to work pretty well if you set it up following their instructions. I'm feeding it with a Mak-4 pump, which they say is a bit big and may need to be throttled down with a ball valve on the inlet. I'm running it at full capacity and it seems to be OK. I think there may be better skimmers available, but this one works pretty well for the cost. I had the pump all ready, so that was a factor for me choosing it. If I was needing a complete new set up, I might considered other choices.

I ran one on my 45 upstairs before I switched to a Deltec 300. It worked just fine. The only reason I got rid of it is I didn't like the looks of the pump sitting in the tank.

Skimmer makers always over-rate their products so make sure you go bigger than you need to in order to handle the bio-load. Especially on a tank like yours with so many fish. Maybe an Aquamedic 5000 shorty?
