![]() I normally keep the temp between 80-82 but I've had my tanks up to 86 with no problems, I turn the lights out when it reaches that temp because I don't want to find out what happens when it gets warmer .

![]() When your tank consistently hits 85-86 is when you're in for a chiller. I keep my tank around 77-79, but I found it faired exactly the same when I kept it at 81-82.

![]() set at 79 with aquatronica controller.. after 8 hours of halides 81.5 Summer up to 84 Aquatronica kills lights at 85 and turns on 2 fans over sump to keep things cool. No chiller for me.. 120gallons.. 2x250 w halides in enclosed oak canopy...
