check out this photo. the left is the "new generation" tube, and the right is the previous "coral light" bulb.

I prefer the one on the right myself (the non-"new generation" bulbs) but everyone has their own colour tastes. One of the advantages of T5 is that you can fine tune the colour to your own personal taste.

The new bulb seems to make the colours pop that much more. I just need to find them in town or online now
