check out this photo. the left is the "new generation" tube, and the right is the previous "coral light" bulb.
I prefer the one on the right myself (the non-"new generation" bulbs) but everyone has their own colour tastes. One of the advantages of T5 is that you can fine tune the colour to your own personal taste. ![]()

The new bulb seems to make the colours pop that much more. I just need to find them in town or online now
