I picked up a Squamosa from a friend with similar dimensions and we just sunk a IO salt pail into his tank moved the clam to the bottom of it then dumped out about 1/2 the pail. Keeping the clam submerged at all times.

I just set it on the front floor of my car with the heat on for the ride home. His tank params were pretty close to mine so I did a short drip (replaced most of his water) then slowly dropped the bucket into my tank and pulled out the clam. Just put the bucket in slow so the displaced water can go through the overflow to the sump and not to the floor.

That is pretty much exactly how I move my clams. Although I use an ice cream bucket to go from the tank to the big bucket.

Well he went in A OK. Bucket method out of cooler worked well. Thanks to Sicklid for your help. Looks healthy so far....

Nice clam, mostly only seen the huge ones in brown or tan.
