If you keep that birdsnest under moderate lighting, it will go colour up even more nicely, you'll see some really nice green in it.

Oh you are so right I do see green in that birdsnest now I put the xenia into a little clear box (I normally use this box for acclimation) and then put some crafters mesh on the top of it. I stuck a rubberband on the xenia and a rock and it has not come off or died, so yay

see the little Paguriita hermit crab hanging out in the hole just above the yellow x-mas tree worm?

Thanks Gold's for the lovely Christmas tree worm rock

What a fun mothers day present! Thanks to Snappy for the new coral! I'm a bit nervous about the milli and acros as I have not been brave enough to try keeping them just yet. My favorite corals are the pink birdsnest and the green milli.

For the moment these guys have to rest in this little frag box. Why the netting you ask? My urchins seem to adore nothing more than dragging around frags so I would just as soon they stay where I put them, .

We are about a month behind on setting up the 120g, but looks like we should be back on track soon as long as nothing unexpected drains all our cash flow again.

All we need to do is get the FW fish out of it, give it a really good cleaning, test for copper, re-paint the stand in tremclad (rust issues), buy bulbs (mH), buy 2 250W ballasts and do the plumbing and odds/ends. We do have the skimmer for it (RS135), lumenbright reflectors, powerheads and some other odds and ends.

other updates: gsp on the right hand side of the tank has taken off and looks great, the gbta has really grown and is about the size of my palm now, the p. bippinata has also grown and I have decided I would like more of those (really nice little easy gorg), pom-pom xenia has grown onto the glass, one rock (got from someone getting out of the hobby) in the back of the tank had several aptasias on it and was growing hydroids....I sooo will not put up with hydroids again (so as this was the only rock with em, it got boiled and thrown in the sump holding my extra LR). Extreme? Yah, but I would rather have one dead rock than lots of rocks full of pesty stinging creatures.
