Was it cured rock? If nothing is dying from the rock and sand, it won't give you a spike. Or your test kits are old/defective.

Enzo,
When I first started my tank I was in kinda the same situation as you and after 2 days my tank was "fully cycled" No spikes at all. I had my current pair clowns in after a week.

I've never been fortunate enough to have a tank cycle so quickly. It certainly is possible as Jonathon stated. I've always "induced" a spike which gave me the piece of mind the "bio-filtration" was established. It also ensured the test kits were giving me "accurate" readings.
If your confident it's cycled, introduce livestock slowly...

Well other than having the female jump out on me they are doing great.
They were put in after 1 week and my tank is 1 year and 8 months old.
I did replace the jumper with a new clown to have a pair again.
