older ballast
Hi Greg, my roomate just upgraded to a pfo ballast and two 10,000k's.
He originally had a phillips ballast with a single 6500. He was going to upgrade just the bulb, but the older phillips ballast would not fire the new 10,000k bulb. So he decided to go with a twin set instead, which lights up a 60gl beautifully. I don't think that some of the older ballast will fire the newer bulbs, as I have seen with my own eyes. :shock: Goodluck! Rich
