EmilyB came to the rescue, she was given a similar piece also. It's a merulina variety. I am still curious as to who gave/sold it to me as there were too many good distractions at the meeting.
 I will try to get a better pic of it today, I will send it on to you smokin, if that's ok as this dummy still cannot figure out how to post pics via his webpage  ops: :?
