Default 150 Gallon

Hmm not sure where to put this thread..as it's not really a buy/sell one.

---
How common are 150 gallon tanks, and of the 150 gallon tanks...how many are of the 60x24x24 dimensions? The 120 and 180 gallons are so much more common (at least in the for sale, craiglist...etc)... so i'm curious to see if 150 is just an awkward size.

From what I have seen 150's are not as common as 180's and 135's and most are 72" in length. I have never seen a 5'x'2'x2' 150 for sale used. Oceanic systems does list one under their ultimate line as a 156 gal.

Glass cages has a 150 listed as well. A tall, wide and long version.

I have a 150g that I got specifically for the size....I needed longer than 4ft and shorter than 6ft for the wall space...the 5 foot 150g fits beautifully! And is a gorgeous tank...

Did you have it custom made? If not, what manufacturer?

No I bought it from a retailer...but I had asked for the size and he searched it out....I am pleased with it...I had asked for eurobraced specifically as I hate centre braced tanks...and it showed up with a centre brace...so I made it work for me...but I love the tank size...I just wish I had 2 as the other side of the room has the same size space and I have a 4ft 120g there....wish I had planned ahead and gotten 2 150's. I "think" its a Seastar but can't say for sure.

yes it appears that oceanic (looking for perfecto/hagen sites) was the only one that carried it in those dimensions.

Hmm problem is... those websites don't really have a price so i can guage whats a decent deal Off american ebay and glasscages, 5x2x2 sells for 525 <-- is this a fair price ?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Call J&L. They are oceanic retailers and can tell you what list price is.
