Its banned in California and this species is already in the aquarium trade. Most people just don't know its the "killer" algae taxiflora.

all caulerpa is toxic, I found that out when I was trying to figure out why every time I harvested a large amount of grape I would lose a fish or two, but ya the one you are talking about is the most toxic of them all, and thinking of that why would you want it?
