Why not do a wood/glass combination. See if you can buy just the glass for a 33 here http://go.to/interamerican and use 3/4" wood and the 2 side pieces glued to the wood 18" + 18" = your 36" hence a bottom for your sides. Now your using strictly silicone for adherence. Not sure if it would work but now your looking at around 50$. Kevin
