Default Herbie's

I found an awesome strainer @ Gregg Distributors for my Herbie overflows. The holes are small enough to keep out snails and crabs and big enough that algae should not pose a problem. It has a factory 2" female thread which I used a male bushing to reduce.

One note is that this strainer has a 5" diameter so it won't work unless you have a big enough overflow.

I used the 2" version of those strainers on the 2" intakes to my closed loops. Each CL has a Dart pulling diectly through one of those strainers and doesn't create ANY dangerous suction over the strainer at all. I'm confident that an anemone could park itself over a large part of the strainer and be just fine.
