![]() Like Tony said, I wouldn't worry about it. Many reef environments reach 8.8 for pH. If things look great, and your not having any problems I wouldn't panic.

![]() I solved the same problem by not calibrating the probe forever. Then when I did get around to it (last night). I somehow got water inside the case and capooooow. My ph is now 88.88!!!
On a lighter note, I have never really been to concerned about what my ph is at or fluctuating to. What I do notice is when fluctuations are increasing in differance my alk is ussually getting on the low side.

![]() PH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of water
PH reading 7.0 is neutral PH higher than 7.0 is alkaline PH lower then 7.0 is acidic PH should run between 8.2 and 8.4...8.2 is ideal ![]() I have mine running at 8.1 to 8.2

![]() I think this is the real issue here....My Alk is about about 7.4KH. If I can get that to come up, it should reduce the size of the daily swing.
Mind you...I've been trying to increase Alk for quite some time now. I've been very cautious with the reactor as I didn't know what the pH of the tank was doing. Now that I can see that, I'll lean on the reactor a bit more.
