I'm going to piece it together, only to match what I want to hook up.

Thanks for input. It pretty much matched what I was thinking. I work with electronics everyday and it will be a piece of cake to connect this controller

As for all the cables I need, that answered it pretty well. So it looks like (1)Tunze 1 and (1) Tunze 2 cables, (2) YL2-1 Spliters, and (1) EVG-AP-2F.

Since I still have a bunch of other expenses in order to get the tank running, these items will take me a long ways. Once I get the equipment withdrawl, I may take a stab at getting some more goodies for it. Thanks for the help! I hope this will help others when researching the Profilux II.

-Michael

Well To answer everyones question ,Yes we did get our first batch of the DIMMABLE T5 2X 54W BALLAST in last week ,they do work great with the controller ,we have been testing the same ballast for almost 4 months here being dimmed with profilux using different bulbs & no problems ,runs great & good PF as well.
OF COURSE THEY EVAPORATED OUT OF OUR WAREHOUSE BEFORE THE SHIPMENT WAS RECEIVED
The next shipment will be next friday ,probably in stores the following week.
So please check with your LFS if you really like to have one from this shipment ,we will be a bit short on supply because of all the exsisting Back orders ,till 3rd week of september when we are expecting a major shipment & all back orders will be fullfilled before then.
We are working to bring in some fixtures with dimming capabilities using the same ballast as well in the near future.
Regards
Proline

Already got our Pre order in with you jason

If the UK is anything to go by our experience is these babies grow running legs fast!!!

Look forward to getting my stock soon!

Michael - Glad i could help, and in your case I would advise just ordering what you want and not one of the kits it will give you the flexibility you require.

Let us know if you need more help.

Which ballast's are these? Direct from GHL? I would be interested in how much they cost

Also, I had another question:

What is the difference between the EVG-AP2 and the PLM-2L4S?

Hi

I am waiting for pricing right now, until landed we do not know the full cost of the units. Yes direct from GHL I believe.

The PLM card is an expansion card for the interface to plug into, this just gives you an extra L port and S port. You still require the EVG card

Cheers
Michael

Hi Mathias,

Can the GHL-Profilux Splitter For Two Level Sensors be used with a Float level sensor and a Optical level sensor ?

Or is it only for the 2 Float level sensors ?

Thanks,
Ginzo

I am trying to program my controller without my new tank . i use to have AQ and this is something new for me, i hope i will not sound silly
i got a seconf PH module to control my CA RX. In my old AQ I use to have settings :
If PH<6.4 then CO2 ON
If PH>6,5 then CO2 OFF
How can I program something like this in Profilux?

Hiya

You will find this in the pH control screen of the profilux pc software, i am assuming you are accessing the ProfiLux from your pc?

You then set the corresponding modes in this screen

For example you would set the maintained reading to 6.5 with a hysterix of 0.1 and set to switch on when the reading goes high.

I will try and find some screen shots for you, but please can you confirm you are viewing the settings via a pc, this will help in giving you advise.

What firmware version are you running? You should be running V3.03 - Do you have an rs232 port on the back of your pc?
