I think that it would be a little much, the height of the tank may not let you use it anyways (as the skimmer would be taller then the tank, not allowing it to 'hang on' properly). I used mine on a 33g, and then temperarly on my 75g before I upgraded to a bullet 2. Just my thoughts though....
