Here also is a little interesting article. The Phoenix, which is supposedly the same as a Aquaconnect, in the article showed little PAR drop after the first three months over the coarse of a year. I beleive you get what you pay for in a high end bulb.

Oh, I thought you knew, Mike exchanged it for another one. The first one didn't change, it stayed yellow. All the other bulbs were blue from the start.
