Default Will a yellow tang eat green star polyps?

Im getting a yellow tangs and wonder if i should be worried about some things i have in the tank thanks

If you find a yellow tang that eats star polyps send him to me I'll give him a good home .
Seriously, yellow tangs are mostly vegetarians and while they have been known to occasionally pick on corals, it's far more likely for an angel to pick then it is for a tang

Hopefully the tang with clean up the green algae i have growing.

It will depend on the type of green algae that you have growing. If it's the hairy stuff, I doubt it will. If it's the macro stuff, there's a good chance that it will.
