6 hour drive ain't too bad - Josh Day had a long distance journal and a big tank, if I remember correctly.

Anyway - rubbermaid containers would be good to hold a lot of the Livestock in, all you'd need is heaters and some mini powerheads for that to keep the flow, and in inverter for the vehicle you're driving.

On top of that, you could do the same with the LR - get a heater, couple powerheads and you should experience MINIMAL die off...

A lot of work but how about bag everything up, rubber maid containers with heat packs and as was suggested, have a LFS make up some water for you, moving 1500lbs of water seems like a lot of extra work on top of the lot of work you've already got to deal with.
