We've had more than one suspicious "staker outter". We have large dogs.

The people in question weren't on this group long.

But as Johnny Reefer suggested, be careful about letting people into your home.

Ya know what Neal you have absolutely no reason to feel guilty. The fact that you posted telling people why you were increasing your prices just shows that you are an honest retailer. It also indicates how closely you are holding the margin on markup of your products. Any retailer that says they will take a loss to their bottom line because of theft is either not dealing in reality or is soon to be filing bankrupcy. For those that don't want to pay a 10% theft markup to help out a fellow who is offering quality products at a price that can't be found anywhere else in Alberta - one word - DON'T. Go and shop at one of the wonderful Edmonton shops and just tell yourself you are getting a good deal and there is nothing included in the price that reflects that businesses do suffer losses because of theft.

Yup. I found it extremely refreshing to see how upfront & honest you were about letting us know what happened and why there was going to be a temporary increase. If your price is still way cheaper than other sources, then let those who disagree with your honest approach go buy from them & pay those higher prices. That is their decision. I think the vast majority of your loyal customers here will not mind helping you out by paying a little more, but still way less than they would otherwise.

You're right, Anthony. The thing I found amusing was the 2 people who most spoke out against the surcharge idea were people from other provinces who would probably never have bought from Neal in the first place.

Alot of people say that you shouldn't force 10% on anyone but hey that extra 10% is still cheaper then any other store really..

I think neal is a great guy and am glad to have more local vendors with cheap prices...

I guess next time i will just give him a 10% tip, because i believe I spend a bit more to keep him in buisness....cause if he stops selling then we will all have to pay big bucks for corals again!!

And sorry to hear about the loss neal that totaly sucks....I will probably be in around the end of the month to buy some corals!!

Neal, thanks for your involvement in this hobby. I've purchased coral from you in the past and I will continue buying stuff from ya! With or without an additional upcharge.
