Default need skimmer drilling tips for recirc mod

I am going to do the recirc mod on my ASM G2 skimmer

It looks like most use a holesaw 1 3/4 for the 1" uniseal

What precautions can I take to prevent the skimmer tube body from cracking when I drill.

I would hate to have something happen wrong that puts me out of a skimmer.

To be safe you'd have to have something solid like a block of wood on the other side of the skimmer body to take up the pressure however, if you do it very slowly you may be okay just don't press, let the bit do the cutting not your weight. That's the best I can offer.

Drilled my G3 with no problems. As mentioned, use a hole saw (not a spade bit, cutting arm, etc) and go slow.
