hehe - I like that, "automagically"

I know if I were doing it, I'd want a direct video feed - which would take more bandwidth, but would be SO much cooler. You could get a camera that has a servo and it can pan back and forth - heaven knows you're not going to get the whole shot of your tank in one picture

you can get a linksys cam for around $200.....you access it through the linksys website and can view your house or whatever you want in the house....you can get them with sound....moveable.....and wireless.....futureshop had them .......Ill find the link.....

you can also set it up so that if there is movement...or whatever....it will turn on and record to your local computer .....its has a ton of features.......
d-link also makes one...

LOL I love the 175$+ solutions to a >20$ problem (note its still cheaper than telus's version - with no monthly fee)

search google for freeware webcam, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
