Default Goin on Vacation

Heading down to Hawaii in a few days and was wondering if any of you have gone there and brought back fish. What sorts of brain damage did you have to go thru customs wise or was it easy. Was there much in the way of paper work etc to be done ?

Thanks Ron

You also need a license to harvest and bring livestock over the border don't you?

I think the only thing stopping you would be the liquid restrictions, its just like fishing but the fish is alive. You can bring dead fish back. I know people who bring dogs back and they have never had a problem.

Fro importation of live fish (Department of oceans./fisheries)

http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/science/aqu...namental_e.htm

Basic customs information/ What needs to be declared.

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pub/cp/...44-e.html#P022

Cites

http://www.cites.org/

If it is not listed on cites than the only worry would getting it on board the plane. If if was packed for shipping in Styrofoam with heat packs etc should be fine.

I guess you could check the item, but it will be a huge gamble, no heat in the cargo hold not to mention how the suitcase will be thrown about.
