Default Has anyone experiance with Pop Eye

My orange shoulder tang about a week ago showed symptoms of pop eye, white covering on the eye, and I left it in the tank to see if it would correct itself, and tonight I noticed that my large Maroon clown now has the same just overnight. The onlcy hange to the tank is shutting down the UV for a couple of weeks. Has anyone any suggestions to treat, or is it something that is caused by scrapes to the eye and will correct itself.

Usually if it's in one eye, it's more than likely just blunt trauma/injury. Give it a couple days and it will go away. Sometimes fish bump into rocks at night if they're startled and such.

You'll want to make completely sure that it's Pop Eye before medicating, as it'll stress the fish if it's not. Up your quality and do a small water change just to get things going.

PS: Don't medicate in your display tank. Use QT if you can.
