If you're ever up in the NE up by the airport, Princess Auto usually has a vast selection of surplus electronics type fans, 12V, 24V, 110VAC, ... 3", 4", 6", ... lots and lots of stuff and usually pretty cheap.

If they do you are lucky.. Seems they are a hot commodity here in E-town. They never ever have any when I go..

You very likely can use an old cell-phone power plug with your fans. When your phone dies, keep the power plug.

If your really keen, I bet you could hook it up in line with your old phone battery too, so that your fans keep working in a power outage.
