Most people quarantine fish regardless of whether they have a disease or not. I thought the purpose of quarantining fish was because if they are going to get a disease, it would be much easier on the fish to get it in the quarantine tank where you can easily treat it. Basically the QT is a "watch and wait for something to happen" area then when it does you don't have to try to catch the fish to treat it.
