Sure sounds like a spawn ..
It will look pretty spent for about a day, then should come back. Yeah, a water change, maybe some carbon should help clear that water back up. HTH

yet again you guys are right. today its showing signs of improvment. doesnt look 100%. but tenticles are starting fill out again and looking bigger.
