Doug,

No other grandchildren, only have one child and this is her first baby. I've been talking about becoming a grandmother for at least a month, though

Des and someone else recently had babies, and Danny's going to have a baby soon. Well, Danny himself is not going to give birth, but his SO is due anytime now

Cool that our daughters have the same name

Hmm nothing that I can post right away, sorry Doing well though, growing lots, very expressive, looking around at his environment with a sense of awe, smiling lots, really seems to enjoy "peek a boo" (hide face behind a blanket, remove blanket and say "Peek a boo!!!!" --> that gets an awesome smile), I stick my tongue out at him, he sticks his tongue out at me. He cluster feeds in the evening but the reward for the fussiness is that when he goes to sleep, he sleeps anywhere from 4 to 6 hours in a stretch at night. Mom is starting to do better too, he was a section birth and there were some serious complication with the recovery. So after a few scares a month ago it is nice to be settling into a new routine, all is well now, and loving every minute of it.

Tony,

I know how to play peek a boo, too Oh, you are a proud papa

Sorry to hear about the C-section drama for your wife Glad to hear she is on the mend

My daughter's labour stopped progressing, so they put her on an oxytocin drip. By the time the nurses had increased the dose to 96 "somethings", her contractions were one right after another. She couldn't keep up and was in tears when they suggested an epidural, which she agreed to immediately. Two hours later, from out in the hallway, I heard Rebecca's first cries I have goosebumps now just thinking about it

And to think I gave birth to my daughter at home with the assistance of two wonderful midwives. It was great Man, I was some kinda hippy back in the day
