Default Discolouration on a perc

Folks,

I have a mated pair of true percs. Recently I noticed some discolouration on the female that I don't think was there before. It seems that the colour loss is underneath the scales as opposed to be a growth on top or in the skin. The male does not have this and they both eat as heartily as they always have so I don't suspect a parasite or disease right noe. Any ideas what it is? Here are a couple of pictures:

Thanks,

Ed

Hmmm, can't get pictures to work tonight. They are in my photo gallery if you don't mind looking over there.

Thanks again,

Ed

Ed,

Remove "?6436" from your links.
Basically everything after the ".jpg" and the pics should work fine.

kinda looks like shes's losing some skin/scales. is that possible that she's scratching herself on a rock somewhere?

I haven't noticed any rubbing or scratching but I'll keep a closer watch, and I'll take another look tonight, but the scales seem to be intact.
