My female had a bunch of the black spots on her orange coloration. I took it as anemone stings as well as age. I too did a some google searches but came up with the same.

Let’s assume they are harmless lol... did it went away tho? Cuz I don’t really like how they are looking right now, they are still actively happy but... yeah

It’s hard to tell but it could be either stings or a type of flatworm. They’re known as black ich, a parasitic infestation and their main symptom is small black dots on the fish.
