I started looking at chinese black box LEDs on eBay.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet as I want something with more controllability but for the price I would not hesitate.

If you don't care about the big brand names, I would strongly suggest making the purchase of a full spectrum light. Mine looks amazing and everything is responding well. The evergrow comes with a controller as well.
