Mind sharing what the front-to-back depth of your external box is? I guess there is a tiny bit of play room where you're trimming the bulkhead right? Awesome!

Yeah for sure!, the box is 3 1/2" front to back, and the bulkhead is cut down at a bit of an angle, and when it is in the glass it looks like this (because the inside casing of the nano wavebox was kind of angled when i looked at it) ![]() Here are a few good pictures of the box and pump ![]() ![]() |

thanks for the added details. i'm likely going to copy this myself! Is the width of that compartment important you think? it looks a lot wider than a nano wavebox....

Great thanks.
I'm guessing it's a little bit quieter than the standard box since you're not pumping from within a thin plastic cavity. Do you think gluing the pvc sleeve to the front of the pump and slipping that into the bulkhead (no margnets) would work? Seems like that might be even more quiet? EDIT: nevermind saw your watertest video and suddently remembered that this pump doesn't have a tube shaped shroud on it like the stream pumps. I even had a nano wavebox oops! You could take this one step further and use the rubber grommet mounts from the new nano streams to make it even more silent. You get one hell of a wave in there btw! you would also have to notch the pvc to allow water to flow past it, and that would then decrease the area you can glue, i think after time it would just shake itself loose, but its worth a try!! i just never did
