When are you going? We are heading out on September 20th and have friends there so i can give you a ton of stuff to do that they recommended.

I agree that Bath is lovely, but consider Cornwall. Not as urban as most of the south. If you like hikes I would suggest the cliff walk from Trebarwith Strand to Tintagel (King Arthur's castle). Here is a link to a list of public aquariums in the UK:

We'll be staying with relatives in Heysham which is just up the coast from Blackpool. I should be heading south at some point towards Stonhenge then London.
