Hi Scott,

thanks for your instructions, i think they will help other users.

And there is an easier way:
It is not neccessary to change the PC's COM-Port-number in the device manager. As i described above you can change the COM-Port in ProfiLuxControl: Click the button "..." next to "Connect" and do the correct settings, please see my attachment "Connections.dat" above.

One thing i don't understand:
"Next make sure the Profilux is set to COM1 for the serial connection by going into the EXTRAS menu" - but: there you can set the device address, not the COM-Port. The device address can remain "1".
->it is not neccessary to alter this setting - just edit the COM-Port under "Connections" in ProfiLuxControl.

I tried uploading it here but the file is too big. i will have a go and transfer it to PDF and have another go later as it is 8am over here and you guys will be still snoring away!!
