There are really two parts to the SW. North of or south of the Glenmore resevour. If access to the Foothills is relly important than the NW is a realistic possibility......if you don't mind a chaotic road system. The Foothills was built between downtown Calgary and the enveloped town of Bowness, so the road systems are a bit crazy up there. I used to dispatch at a local cab company in town so I know the city very well. IMO the SW area just south of the Foothills is a really nice area, and the roads are dead easy to figure out.
