Ick Help!

My fish have ick I'm planning to try and use garlic first, and if it comes down to it, go through the PITA process of catching them and quarantining them
For those people who have treated with garlic before, which of the following is best to use: fresh cut garlic, pure garlic extract, or garlic extreme? And how much would I use?
