Adding LR to an existing System

Boy I would not add 60 lbs. of uncured rock to my tank. Even cured I would probably put in a rubbermaid container with a heater and powerhead for a week or to check for ammonia from die off. As for the smell if it is uncured you are going to get it no matter where you cure it. At least putting it in rubbermaids you can control where you put those (basement, spare room etc.) I just would not take the chance personally.
